Montreal Canadiens Legends

The Montreal Canadiens are the most successful franchise in professional hockey history. No other team comes close to the Canadiens 24 Stanley Cups. Considering the “Habs” are just under 100 years old that works out to a winning percentage of over 25%!!!

Over the years many players, coaches and general managers have been a part of the Canadiens organization. Many of these men have become not only Montreal legends, but NHL legends. Some of these names include Maurice Richard, Jean Beliveau, Toe Blake, Ken Dryden, Guy Lafleur, Howie Morenz, Henri Richard, Patrick Roy, and Scotty Bowman. The above list alone is amazing … but it is only a small part of the Montreal Canadiens history.

Our site of the day is the “Montreal Canadiens Legends”. This site has an impressive array of articles on some of these remarkable men. As the All-Star break is among us, it is a good time to look back at some of the most amazing Habs from the past.

If you are a serious hockey fan, then HockeyDB is for you.

Canadiens on RDS

Our Montreal Canadiens site of the day is RDS.ca.

RDS, a French-speaking network, is the Canadiens official broadcaster. They telecast all 82 Habs regular-season games and all playoff games. The RDS website covers all major sports, giving priority to Quebec related news. As far as Canadiens news goes, RDS pretty much offers the best coverage on the Internet as they update their site throughout the day. Even the awful on-air game commentary of Pierre Houde and Yvon Pednault is not enough to turn us sour on the RDS website!

Montreal Canadiens Prospects

Our site of the day is Hockey’s Future. This is the best site to check up on the top prospects in the Canadiens farm system and the overall NHL. You will find player profiles and rankings, depth charts, original articles, draft information, and one of the top Montreal Canadiens forums on the web. This site is a keeper!

Montreal Canadiens News

Our Habs site of the day is topix.net. If you are looking for Montreal Canadiens news, then this is the site for you. Topix searches the web for all the most relevant Canadiens information and presents it in an easy to read format. The only drawback is for the French speaking population, as topix does not retrieve French news items. Nonetheless, it is a great site for the serious Habs fan.

Montreal Canadiens Wikipedia
